IN MEMORIAM: THOMAS MICHAEL O'BRIEN
Thomas Michael O'Brien - A loving husband, father, and grandfather full of kindness and joy; a brilliant man with a great sense of humor. He was a true friend to all whom he met.
Tom was born in San Antonio, Texas, on December 26, 1946, the son of Hazel and James J. O'Brien, Jr. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
WELCOME BRIAN CLEPP
Alford & O'Brien is excited to welcome Brian Clepp to the firm. Brian Clepp joined Alford & O’Brien, PC as a Managing Attorney. Brian has been a Title Attorney since 2005 and practices oil, gas, and mineral law in multiple states. Brian began his legal career working as a field landman in Zapata, Jim Hogg, Starr and Webb counties. His strong business background coupled with extensive experience as a title attorney give Brian a unique advantage in our field.
Ohio Case Study
Jeff Benavides presented a Case Study on Dormant Mineral Legislation at the San Antonio Association of Professional Landmen's(SAAPL) monthly meeting held at the Petroleum Center on March 11th 2019. This presentation focuses on the history of the Ohio Dormant Mineral Act, including its Legislative amendments and interpretation by Ohio courts.
